Chocolate Chip Cookies
“Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o’clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap.” – Robert Fulghum
Cookies… What isn’t wonderful about them? They are fun to make, and fun to eat. Chocolate chip cookies are almost magical. Bake a dozen cookies today, then eat as many as you want (but only for today!) with some ice cold milk. This is especially nice if it happens to be a cool rainy day outside.
Chocolate Chip Cookies:
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 large eggs,beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake for 8-10 minutes until cookies are a light golden color. Enjoy!!
